Summary

This study tested a simple, non-invasive numbing spray applied to the airway before heart surgery. The goal was to see if it could help keep blood pressure stable during anesthesia and reduce the need for strong opioid painkillers. 106 adults having planned heart surgery took part. The approach aims to make the start of surgery safer and smoother.
