First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looks at how urate-lowering therapy reduces gout crystals in the hands and feet of 50 adults with tophaceous gout. Using a special CT scan, researchers measure crystal shrinkage after 6 months of treatment. The goal is to understand what factors help crystals dissolve faster and whether this can repair joint damage.
