First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested a calcium-phosphate-containing desensitizer (Teethmate Desensitizer) to see if it reduces tooth sensitivity after getting a composite filling. 50 adults aged 18-65 with cavities in vital teeth participated. The desensitizer was applied under the filling and compared to a placebo. Pain was measured using a visual scale and a numerical rating scale up to 6 weeks after the procedure.
