Could this procedure replace root canals?
NCT ID NCT07179835
Summary
This study is testing whether a less invasive dental procedure called a full pulpotomy can be an effective alternative to traditional root canal treatment. It will involve 128 adults with infected tooth pulp in their lower back teeth, some of whom also have an infection in the surrounding bone. Researchers will compare healing results over 12 months to see if the simpler procedure works as well.
