Dentists test simpler alternative to root canals

NCT ID NCT04922229

Summary

This study compares two dental treatments for severe tooth nerve pain: traditional root canal treatment versus a simpler procedure called pulpotomy. Researchers will follow 138 patients for two years to see which approach works better at relieving pain and preserving teeth. The study also aims to identify factors that predict whether the simpler pulpotomy procedure will be successful.
