Diabetes dental dilemma: which Tooth-Saving treatment works best?

NCT ID NCT07163975

Summary

This study aims to find the best dental treatment for painful, inflamed tooth nerves in people with type 2 diabetes. Researchers will compare a less invasive procedure that tries to save the living tooth nerve (pulpotomy) against the standard, more extensive root canal treatment. They will measure which treatment is more successful at controlling the problem and improving patients' quality of life over one year.
