Scientists search for chemical clues in tooth pain

NCT ID NCT06938191

Summary

This study aims to understand the biology of severe tooth pain (irreversible pulpitis) by comparing levels of specific proteins in samples from healthy and painful teeth. Researchers will collect fluid and tissue from 70 adults already scheduled for routine root canal treatment. The goal is to see if these protein levels differ and are connected, which could improve future diagnosis or treatment approaches.
