Better tooth root cleaning? study tests new methods
NCT ID NCT07249450
Summary
This study tested whether two advanced cleaning methods—using sound waves (sonic) or high-frequency vibrations (ultrasonic)—help infected tooth roots heal better than the standard needle rinse during a root canal. Researchers treated 42 adults with infected single-rooted teeth, randomly assigning them to one of the three cleaning methods. They used 3D scans before treatment and 6 months later to measure how much the infection around the tooth root shrank.
