Your tooth as a bone graft: a new way to save your jaw?
NCT ID NCT07394634
First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests whether using a person's own extracted tooth as a bone graft can better preserve the socket (the hole left after tooth removal) compared to letting it heal naturally. Twenty healthy adults will be randomly assigned to receive either the tooth graft or no graft. Researchers will measure changes in socket size using clinical exams and 3D X-rays over six months.
