Can a blood gel speed up healing after a tooth pull?

NCT ID NCT06943846

Summary

This study aims to learn more about how gums heal after a tooth is pulled, especially in older adults. Researchers will enroll 12 people needing a back tooth removed. Half will receive a gel made from their own blood (platelet-rich fibrinogen) placed in the empty socket. The study will compare healing by taking small tissue samples and pictures of the bone over three months.
