Could tomato pill boost male fertility?
NCT ID NCT05671562
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether lycopene, an antioxidant found in cooked tomatoes, could improve sperm quality in men with low sperm counts. Thirty-four men took either lycopene capsules or a placebo for 12 weeks. Researchers compared sperm samples before and after to see if the supplement increased the number of healthy, swimming sperm.
