No-Scar thyroid surgery put to the test against traditional cut

Summary
This study compares a newer surgery called TOETVA, which removes the thyroid through the mouth leaving no visible scar, to the standard surgery that leaves a neck scar. About 616 adults needing thyroid removal will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods. The goal is to see if the scarless approach is as safe and leads to a better quality of life.
