Summary

This study tested whether sending educational text messages about tobacco risks could help LGBTQ+ young adults quit smoking or vaping. Researchers enrolled 292 participants aged 18-35 who identified as LGBTQ+ and used tobacco products. Participants received different types of text messages for 6 weeks to see which approach might be most effective at changing smoking behaviors.
