First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests different magnetic pulse patterns (TMS) to see which one best changes the brain's reward signal in smokers who are dependent on nicotine. About 42 participants will attend two sessions where their brain activity is measured with EEG while they play a reward-based computer game. The goal is to find the most effective TMS protocol for future treatments to help people quit smoking.
