First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study tested whether transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) can improve PTSD symptoms and change related brain activity and startle responses. Fifty adults with partial PTSD received TMS treatment. Researchers measured changes in brain scans and skin conductance to see if the treatment helped calm fear reactions. The goal was to learn if TMS is feasible and effective for PTSD in an underserved population.
