Summary
This study tests whether a noninvasive magnetic brain stimulation technique called TMS can improve symptoms in people with major depression. Researchers will target the orbitofrontal cortex, a brain area involved in mood and decision-making. About 80 adults with moderate to severe depression will participate. The goal is to see if this approach reduces depressive symptoms and negative thinking.
