Two-Week brain zap trial tests faster depression relief
NCT ID NCT07181226
Summary
This study tested if a shorter, two-week course of magnetic brain stimulation could help adults with major depression. Researchers compared two different stimulation techniques to see which was better at reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety. 108 participants were randomly assigned to receive one of the two treatments over 10 sessions. Their symptoms were checked before treatment, right after the two weeks, and again six weeks later.
