Summary

This study looks at 20 people with severe temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders who need surgery. Researchers will examine removed tissue for signs of bacteria and other clues to understand what causes these painful jaw conditions. The goal is to learn more about the disease, not to test a new treatment.
