First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to wash out the jaw joint (arthrocentesis) using a dental implant motor pump to create higher pressure, compared to the usual method. Thirty adults with a common TMJ disorder that causes pain and clicking took part. The goal was to see if the new pump reduces pain and improves jaw opening better than the standard technique.
