Summary

This study looks at whether 12 weeks of Transcendental Meditation can improve stress, mood, and blood pressure in post-menopausal women who are at risk for hypertension. Sixty women will be randomly assigned to either a meditation program or a health education group. The goal is to see if meditation is a practical, non-drug way to prevent high blood pressure.
