Summary
This study tests a new surgical method (TLSA) that avoids cutting a key nerve during hiatal hernia repair, compared to the standard approach. About 143 adults with a hiatal hernia and stubborn acid reflux will be randomly assigned to one of the two surgeries. The goal is to see if the nerve-sparing technique leads to better quality of life and fewer long-term side effects.
