Leukemia drug holiday: study tests if patients can pause treatment
NCT ID NCT04626024
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looks at whether people with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) who have had a very low level of cancer for at least two years can safely stop taking their daily targeted therapy (TKI). Seventeen adults who have been on TKI for over three years will stop their medication and be monitored closely for relapse. The goal is to see if a treatment pause is possible without the cancer coming back.
