NCT ID NCT07201376

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study is testing a new, non-invasive device called a tissue oxygen imager. It uses a special light and a cream (ALA) to measure oxygen levels in skin growths. Cancerous areas have low oxygen, which the imager can detect. The goal is to see if this method can accurately tell the difference between non-melanoma skin cancer and harmless skin growths without needing a biopsy. The study will enroll 125 adults who already have a skin cancer diagnosis and are scheduled for surgery.
