First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This early-stage trial tests a lab-grown patch made from human corneal cells to repair the cornea's inner layer in people with mild to moderate corneal damage. About 30 participants will receive the graft to see if it is safe and can improve vision. The approach aims to reduce the need for donor tissue.
