Summary

This study tests whether tirzepatide, a drug used for type 2 diabetes and weight loss, can help people with type 1 diabetes. 44 adults with type 1 diabetes and a BMI of 27 or higher will receive either tirzepatide or a placebo for 6 weeks. Researchers will measure how the drug affects insulin sensitivity, hormone levels after meals, and responses to low blood sugar.
