NCT ID NCT06037889

First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tested whether a drug called tirofiban, given through a vein, helps people recover better from a specific type of stroke called branch atheromatous disease (BAD). BAD strokes often get worse quickly and have poor outcomes. The trial involved 516 adults aged 18-75 who had a stroke within the last 48 hours. Researchers compared tirofiban plus standard care to standard care alone, measuring how many people could return to normal daily activities (no significant disability) after 90 days. They also checked for serious bleeding risks.
