First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving the blood-thinner tirofiban soon after standard clot-busting therapy helps people recover better from a stroke. About 1,084 adults who had a moderate-to-severe stroke will receive either tirofiban or a placebo within 6 hours of the initial treatment. The main goal is to see if more people achieve a good functional outcome (able to carry out daily activities independently) at 90 days.
