New pill takes on hard-to-treat brain cancer in global trial

Summary
This study tests a new drug called tirabrutinib against a standard combination therapy (rituximab and temozolomide) in people whose primary central nervous system lymphoma has returned or not responded to prior treatment. About 132 adults with confirmed B-cell PCNSL will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments. The goal is to see if tirabrutinib alone can better control the cancer and improve survival.
