Can your own voice silence the ringing? new brain training study investigates

NCT ID NCT06880367

Summary

This study is testing whether a special training program using your own voice, hearing, and body movements can help reduce the distress caused by chronic tinnitus (ringing in the ears). Researchers are enrolling 56 adults with bothersome tinnitus to see if this training improves their quality of life more than no training. They will also use brain scans to see if the training changes how different parts of the brain communicate.
