New tinnitus device tailored to your ringing could boost comfort
NCT ID NCT07092033
First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests a device that uses sound and mild stimulation to help people with tinnitus (ringing in the ears). The sound is customized to avoid the exact pitch of each person's tinnitus, which may make it more comfortable to use. Twenty adults with moderate to severe tinnitus will use the device for 12 weeks, and researchers will measure how often they use it and how satisfied they are. The goal is to see if this personalized approach improves daily use and acceptance.
