Timing your meals could protect your kidneys, new study suggests

NCT ID NCT06618859

First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether time-restricted eating (eating only during a set window each day) can reduce protein in the urine and slow kidney function decline in people with moderate chronic kidney disease. About 50 adults with stage 2-3 CKD and elevated albuminuria will follow the diet for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in kidney health, blood pressure, and body composition to see if this eating pattern is safe and effective.
