First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tested whether eating less calorie-dense food (fewer calories per gram) during a 10-hour eating window each day could improve insulin resistance and reduce body weight in older adults with obesity. Forty participants followed either a low-energy dense diet or their usual diet within the same time-restricted schedule. The goal was to see if this approach helps control insulin resistance and weight.
