Can eating Low-Calorie foods in a 10-Hour window help control weight and blood sugar?

NCT ID NCT06259435

Summary

This study tested if combining time-restricted eating (fasting for 14 hours, eating within 10) with a low-energy-dense diet (foods with fewer calories per bite) helps older adults with obesity and insulin resistance. For 8 weeks, 40 participants followed the eating schedule and received either the special low-density diet or their usual diet, with all meals provided. Researchers measured changes in body weight, insulin resistance, and other markers to see which approach worked better.
