New hope for mild stroke: Late-Window drug may prevent disability

Summary
This study tests whether a clot-busting drug called tenecteplase works better than standard antiplatelet pills for people who have a mild but disabling stroke caused by a large blocked artery. Participants must be treated between 4.5 and 24 hours after symptoms start. The goal is to see if the drug helps more people recover with little or no disability at 90 days.
