Bladder cancer patients get a second chance with their own immune cells

NCT ID NCT05768347

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This early-stage trial tests a new way to treat high-grade bladder cancer that hasn't spread into the muscle. Doctors take immune cells from the patient's own tumor, grow them in a lab, and put them back into the bladder. The goal is to see if this is safe and can shrink or eliminate the cancer. Only 9 people who have already tried BCG therapy will take part.
