Tight blood pressure during surgery may shield heart and brain

Summary
This pilot study tests whether keeping blood pressure higher during and after major surgery can reduce serious heart, kidney, and brain problems. About 80 adults aged 45 and older who take blood pressure medication will be randomly assigned to either tight or routine blood pressure management. The goal is to see if a stricter approach is safe and effective enough for a larger trial.
