Scientists track long recovery from Tick-Borne brain infection

NCT ID NCT07274046

Summary

This study follows 209 children and adults in the Czech Republic who were hospitalized with tick-borne encephalitis (TBE), a serious brain infection spread by ticks. Researchers will check on participants for 12 months after hospital discharge to understand how people recover, what lingering symptoms they might experience, and who needs extra support. The findings will help improve patient care and show the potential benefits of vaccination in preventing long-term health problems.
