App-Based study aims to outsmart Tick-Borne illnesses

Summary

This study will enroll up to 3,500 people across the United States, especially in the upper Midwest and Northeast, to test whether using a smartphone app (the Tick App) can help track tick encounters and encourage prevention habits like tick checks and showering. Participants will complete daily logs for 7 days within a year. The goal is to better understand tick-borne disease risk and improve prevention strategies.
