New light probe aims to slash thyroid surgery complications
NCT ID NCT07416149
Summary
This study is testing whether a new surgical tool can help prevent a common and serious complication after thyroid removal surgery. The tool uses a special light to help the surgeon see and protect tiny glands near the thyroid. Researchers will compare surgery using this new probe to standard surgery in 210 patients to see if it lowers the risk of the complication.
