NCT ID NCT07255482
First seen Dec 15, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at 5000 adults who had a thyroid nodule found on a PET-CT scan. It compares those who had a follow-up thyroid ultrasound within 3 months to those who did not. The goal is to see if skipping the ultrasound leads to a higher risk of death over 7 years. The researchers also track how many people are diagnosed with thyroid cancer, have biopsies, or need surgery.
