Do cancer drugs harm the thyroid? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07200882

Summary

This study aims to understand how a common class of leukemia drugs, called tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), affects thyroid function. Researchers will monitor thyroid hormone levels in 76 adults newly diagnosed with a specific type of chronic leukemia who are starting this treatment. The goal is to learn how often thyroid problems occur and if these changes are related to how well the cancer treatment works.
