New approach tests drugs before thyroid cancer surgery
NCT ID NCT07419932
Summary
This study is looking at whether giving medication before surgery helps shrink advanced thyroid tumors that have grown into nearby structures. Researchers will follow 120 patients who receive this pre-surgery treatment and then undergo tumor removal, comparing them to patients who have surgery immediately. The goal is to see if this approach makes surgery safer and more effective while improving long-term outcomes.
