Study tests whether watching small thyroid cancers is safer than surgery

NCT ID NCT07249125

Summary

This study follows people with very small, low-risk thyroid cancers to compare three different approaches: surgery, a heat-based treatment called ablation, or simply monitoring with regular check-ups. Researchers will track how safe each option is and how it affects people's quality of life over 10 years. The goal is to help doctors and patients make better-informed decisions about managing this common type of cancer.
