New test could help thyroid cancer patients get the right surgery first time

Summary
This study aims to check if a new lab test for thyroid cancer gives the same result when run on a small needle biopsy sample as it does on the larger tumor removed during surgery. Researchers will enroll about 130 adults with papillary thyroid cancer who are scheduled for surgery. The goal is to see if the test, performed on the easier-to-get biopsy, can reliably guide surgeons on the best operation before it happens.
