New scan aims to predict thyroid cancer spread, guide surgery
NCT ID NCT07357571
Summary
This study is looking at whether a special type of ultrasound scan can help doctors better predict if and how much early thyroid cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes before surgery. Researchers will review the scans and medical records of 600 past patients to see if the scan's features can accurately match what was found during surgery. The goal is to create a tool that helps surgeons choose the most appropriate operation for each patient, avoiding overly aggressive or insufficient treatment.
