New scan aims to sharpen thyroid cancer treatment

Summary
This study is testing a new type of PET/CT scan to help doctors calculate the best and safest dose of radioactive iodine treatment for people with advanced thyroid cancer. It will compare two different methods of preparing the body for treatment. The goal is to see if this new scan can more accurately predict how much radiation will reach and treat the cancer tumors.
