Numbing shot during throat surgery could ease recovery

NCT ID NCT06734975

Summary

This study is testing whether a numbing injection given during vocal cord surgery helps patients recover more comfortably. Adults having surgery for non-cancerous vocal cord growths will receive either the numbing medicine or a placebo injection during their procedure. Researchers will measure pain, coughing, and voice improvement after surgery to see if the numbing shot makes recovery easier.
