First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests a program called THRIVE, where a trained peer support specialist meets with people in the hospital and sends weekly texts for 12 weeks after discharge. The goal is to see if this support reduces the risk of non-fatal overdoses and skin infections compared to just giving a resource handout. About 390 adults with opioid use disorder will take part.
