NCT ID NCT05997875

First seen Jan 20, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at three different ways to teach people with advanced kidney disease about getting a special blood vessel (called vascular access) for dialysis. About 360 adults will be placed into one of three groups: one gets a video and brochure, another gets the video plus extra coaching sessions by phone, and the third gets the usual care from their doctor. The goal is to see which approach helps more people actually get the surgery they need for dialysis access.
