Can an extra vaccine shot protect future babies?

NCT ID NCT05923970

Summary

This study is looking at whether a third dose of the measles, mumps, rubella, and chickenpox (MMRV) vaccine can help protect women whose immunity from their childhood shots has worn off. Researchers will measure immune responses in about 200 pregnant women in Alberta who have already received a third vaccine dose as part of their regular healthcare. The goal is to see if this extra dose provides better, longer-lasting protection, especially against infections that can be dangerous during pregnancy.
